NEW MILFORD- Joanne B. Finkle, 71, passed away on April 21, 2022 at Filosa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danbury after a battle with cancer.
Joanne was born on August 29, 1950 in Danbury to the late Albert and Dorothy (Henry) Finkle. Joanne worked for more then twenty years as a sales rep for Chemical Marketing Corp. in New Milford. In her younger years she had worked at the Bistro with many family members as a waitress. She enjoyed spending her time knitting for her family. Joanne was very family oriented and always treated her niece, nephew and great nieces and nephews as if they were her children. Teaching many life lessons and making the holidays and vacations very vibrant and exciting.
Joanne is survived by her brother, Michael Finkle of New Milford, nephew, Terry and his wife Terry Eagan, niece, Allison and her husband Rick Gordon Sr. Great Nieces and nephews, Maya, Henry and Dylan Finkle and Ricky Gordon Jr. She was predeceased by her brothers, William “Bill” and Albert Finkle, as well as her sister, Dorothy Finkle. A calling hour will be held from 1-2pm on Thursday April 28, 2022 at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street New Milford, CT. Graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury. Memorial donations can be made in her name, to the Smilow Cancer Center, 35 Park Street, New Haven, CT 06511
