Enoch, Theodore E.

TEE (1)Theodore E. Enoch of Washington, CT, passed away Sunday November 17, 2019 in New Milford, CT at the age of 86.

He was born March 9, 1933 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, son of the late Theodore W. and Grace (Stephenson) Enoch. He graduated from Penn State University in1956. Ted served with the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. In June of 1959 he married Georgine Eavenson in West Chester, PA. He worked as a School Administrator for the Devereaux Foundation for thirty three years, retiring in 1992. His last assignment was in Devon, PA. In 2018 they returned to their home in Washington, CT.

Ted is survived by his wife Georgine, son Ted Enoch and his wife Kelly of Old Lyme, CT and grandson Theodore Enoch III. He was predeceased by his sister Lois Cosmela.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday November 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT. The interment will be private.

  2. To the Enoch family, and especially onto Georgine:

    Please accept my heartfelt wishes for Ted’s passing. Both Ted and his wife, Georgine stepped into becoming surrogate parents for me during a difficult passage, in which I found myself at D-G school in late 1979. My memories of Ted are faint, but also fond. Ted displayed a well-rounded temperament inside a school environment racked by arbitrary decision-makers. It was a scary time for me at D-G, but I found refuge and calm in Ted (and Georgine’sP presence. I also recall his humor and easy-going nature.
