Former Miss New Milford Regina Gallo Ash, 75, of Warren, CT, passed away in her home on Friday November 16, 2018. She is now reunited with her loving parents James and Ottitie (Azzara) Gallo and love of her life Detective Robert M. Ash who predeceased her in 1984.
Regina was born November 25, 1942 in Brooklyn New York. She moved to Warren with her parents at the age of 4 and never had a desire to be anywhere else. After graduating from Wamogo Regional High School Regina enjoyed a career as a bank teller at Union Savings Bank in New Milford and later retired from banking after working as a teller at First National Bank of Litchfield in Washington Depot. Regina was an avid thespian having been in many plays and musicals through the years at many of the local community theaters. Regina was known for her wit and compassion for animals. Regina recently enjoyed attending the Geer Adult Day Center program where she kept things lively, entertaining and leaves behind many good friends. Regina leaves behind a daughter of her choosing Mary Ann Cheney of Warren.
The family will be holding a memorial at the family home in the spring. The family asks that donations be made to the Warren Volunteer Ambulance in memory of Regina.
