Melvin M. Lynch Sr. of New Milford, CT, passed away on December 24, 2017 at Regional Hospice, in Danbury, CT, at the age of 70. He was born September 29, 1947 in Kingston, NY, son of the late Melvin and Carolyn (Watts) Lynch. He attended Kingston High School. He then served in the United States Army from October 1966 until October 1968. Mr. Lynch spent many years working as a machinist for the Barden Corporation in Danbury and at Farrell Precision Metalcraft Corporation in New Milford, before retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and was an avid sports fan, NASCAR was his beloved sport. He is survived by his children Melvin Lynch Jr. and his girlfriend Jean Hislop of Danbury, CT, Charles Lynch and his wife Jeanine of New Milford, CT, Johanna Wilson of Gaylordsville, CT, Bonni Jean Lynch and her boyfriend William Bennett of Bridgewater, CT, and John Lynch of Washington Depot, CT, he is also survived by his grandchildren Tara and Cheyanne Wheeler, Collette and Carly Lynch, Wyatt and Braidyn Lynch, Maya Laplant-Lynch and great granddaughter Paige Eastman. He is also survived by his brother, Patrick Lynch of Danbury, CT. Funeral services were private. Arrangements by the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT.
