Titus, Dorothy I.

Dorothy I. Titus of New Milford, CT, passed away Saturday July 15, 2017 at Candlewood Valley Health Center in New Milford, CT, at the age of 89.

She was born February 18, 1928 in New Canaan, CT, daughter of the late Ernest and Irene H. (Lewis) Ventres. She was a life long member of the Palm Rebekah Lodge.  She loved animals and especially her grand puppies.  Everyone who knew Dorothy described her as a very kindhearted, classy lady, who always put the needs of others first.  Her wonderful sense of humor was a joy to all.

Mrs. Titus was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Harold G. Titus, on November 9, 2000.

She is survived by her beau, Richard Campbell of Bridgewater, CT, brother Ernest Ventres JR and his beloved Peggy Jay., son Martin E. Titus and his wife Melissa “Mickey” of New Milford, CT, daughters Carla Owens and Irene Moore both of Naugatuck, CT and Dorothy “Dee” Coyle and her husband Brian of Warren, CT, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, two nieces, two great nieces and cousins Bruce Titus of Reston, VA, George Ventres of Ridgefield, CT.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 22, 2017 at 12:00 pm at the Gaylordsville United Methodist Church located at 687 Kent Rd., Gaylordsville, CT, followed by the interment at 1:00 at Morningside Cemetery in Gaylordsville, CT.
