Jeffrey Goodbou

Romeo Jeffrey Goodbou, Jeff, a lifelong resident of New Milford, CT, died peacefully with his family by his side on June 17, 2017. He was 55 years old.


Jeff was born on March 2, 1962 in New Milford, CT, son to the late Romeo and Rena (Michaud) Goodbou. He was a graduate of New Milford High School. Ten years ago Jeff met the love of his life, John Lizauskas, they hit it off immediately and never left each other’s side from that day on.


Mr. Goodbou was a truck driver for many companies; his most recent was with Colony Trucking out of Orange, CT. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He had a passion for life and lived to the fullest every day. He was the life of the party and had the biggest heart always putting others first. His greatest passion in life was his family. They meant the world to him.


Jeff is survived by his partner, John, and his sisters; Diana (Ronnie) Pelletier, Rhonda Goodbou, Lynn Goodbou and Janet (Fred) Goodbou, John’s sister Carol Lizauskas and her son Timothy Humiston. Also his nephews, Ronnie Pelletier Jr, Brett Goodbou, Dale Pellitier, Nick Collins, his nieces Bonnie Goodbou, Ashley Richmond, Tonya Mikhalych and his great nephews; Zachary and Alex Pelletier and Hunter Price and Austin Faber. He was predeceased by his son Jeffrey who died as an infant.


A graveside service will be held on Thursday June 22, 2017 at St. Francis Cemetery, New Milford, CT at 11 am.


In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
