Robert (Bob) Bartley Cox, 78, died in his home in Sherman, CT on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Son of Dessie Mae Skinner and Robert Spencer Cox, he leaves behind his wife, Loretta D. Cox, sister Virginia Binford, son Spencer B. Cox and wife, Denise D. Cox, daughter Jennifer A. Cox and husband Patrick S. Stettner and grandchildren, Heather Nazario, Marta M. Cox and Lucas E. Stettner. Bob was a highly recognized icon in the advertising industry known for such groundbreaking campaigns as Nancy Regan’s, ‘Just say No’, Honda’s ‘We Make it Simple’, and the seminal Salvador Dali ad for Alka Seltzer. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to furthering the pursuits of students at The Art Student’s League (http://www.theartstudentsleague.org) in his beloved New York City.
