Viento, Ciro A.

Ciro A. Viento of Sherman, CT, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in West Haven, CT, at the age of 67.
He was born September 12, 1948 in New York, NY, son of the late Ciro and Concetta (Buonanno) Viento. He joined the US Navy and served as a Corpsman with the US Marines in the first Reconnaissance Battalion. He earned the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry during the Vietnam War. On April 12, 1992 he married Donna MacDonnell in Long Island, NY. He had lived in Bronx, NY and Mamaroneck, NY before moving to Sherman, CT, in 2001. Mr. Viento owned and operated Independent Web., a printing firm in Long Island for thirty years before retiring.
Mr. Viento is survived by his wife Donna of Sherman, CT, his son Adam Viento of New Rochelle, NY, his daughter Megan Viento of Sherman, CT, his brother Anthony Viento, sister in law Lucille Viento of Edison, NJ, and his sister in law Irene Viento of Tarrytown, NY. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Ciro, Peter, Susan, Nicholas, Loretta, and other several great nieces and great nephews he adored. He was predeceased by his older brother Ralph Viento.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday June 16, 2016, 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury, CT. Calling hours will be held today, Wednesday  June 15, 2016 at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
