Vincent “Vinney” Andrew Gorman of New Milford, CT, passed away at his home on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at the age of 77.
He was born May 18, 1939 in New York, NY, son of the late Francis and Mary (Brady) Gorman. He graduated from Chelsea High School in New York, NY, in 1957 then served with the Army from 1959 to 1964. Mr. Gorman worked for CITI Bank in New York, NY, and was a V.P. in charge of International Investments. He retired in 1995 shortly before the death of his first wife Annah Putnam (Hazen). In 1997 he moved to New Milford to marry Karin (Silverblade) in Brookfield, CT, on October 26, 1997. For the past ten years he has worked at Home Depot in Danbury, CT.
Besides his wife Karin of nineteen years Mr. Gorman is survived by his daughters Mary “Meg” E. Kaplow and her husband Evan of Chappaqua, NY, Kelli Deros and her husband Elias of Watertown, CT, a son Jeffrey Fish and his wife Carol of New Milford, CT, a brother Kenney Gorman of Chicago, IL and his grandchildren John “Jak”, Luke, Brady, Easton, Brittany, Kyle, Spencer, Logan and Karina. He was predeceased by three older brothers and two sisters.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 4, 2016, 11 am at Our Lady of The Lakes Church in New Milford, CT. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT, on Saturday prior to the mass from 8:30am to 10:30am.
