Lundberg, Robert A.

Robert Arthur Lundberg, 54, went home to heaven on Sunday, March 20th.  Bob was born September 2, 1961 in New Milford.  He was the son of Mary Ann (Douskey) and the late Donald Lundberg, Sr.  He is also survived by Fred Gottschall who was a surrogate father to him for many years.

Robert graduated from Shepaug High School, and at 17 began his journey as an electrician at the Torrington Company for 36 years. He worked very hard every day to provide for his family and took absolute pride in his work. From the time he was a young boy he loved collecting American flags. His love for the American flag was evident in his daily commitment to raising and lowering the flag at work and at home.  In his spare time he enjoyed working outside and around his house. But ultimately his daughter and wife were his entire world.

Robert leaves his wife of 26 years, Linda (Peck) Lundberg, his daughter, Amanda Lundberg and companion, Michael Schriver, his mother; Mary Ann Lundberg, brothers Donald Jr. and wife Lisa, Darryl and wife Kristen and sister, Barbara and her husband Perry. He also leaves his mother-in-law Lucy and brother-in-law Roger Peck Jr. and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, as well as his second family at Global Steering.

Services to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at Bakerville United Methodist Church, 1087 Litchfield Tpke, New Hartford on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Graveside services will be at the convenience of his family.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses of Waterbury Hospital ICU for your kindness and companionate care of our loving father, husband, son, brother and friend.
