Raymunt, Frances A.

Frances A. Raymunt of Washington Depot, CT, died Tuesday January 26, 2016 in Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 88.
She was born October 9, 1927 in Washington Depot, CT, daughter of the late Adam and Elizabeth (Grumauskas) Raymunt. Ms. Raymunt moved to New York City and worked in retail sales for Gimbels Department Store in New York then became a Union Representative before retiring. Ms. Raymunt had been married to Peter Rosa for ten years. Mr. Rosa has since predeceased her. Ms. Raymunt returned to Washington Depot after retiring and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Washington and volunteered at the VNA Thrift Shop in Washington. She and her family were very proud of her Lithuanian heritage.
Ms. Raymunt was one of eleven children survived by her brother Paul Raymunt of Washington Depot, CT, her foster son Mario Vitale of Naples, FL, her nephews James Raymunt Jr., Randall Raymunt, Richard Raymunt, Mark Raymunt, Stanley Raymunt and Michael Raymunt, her nieces Linda Raymunt Krusky, Teresa Raymunt, Carole Raymunt Webb, Dorothy Raymunt Hawerden, Shirley Raymunt Foster and many great nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 28, 2016 at 11am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Washington, CT. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday January 27, 2016 from 5 to 8pm at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT. Internment will take place in Washington Green Cemetery in the spring.
